In blue and gold, the Impreza is forever linked with the World Rally Championship of the 1990s — one of the most recognisable rally cars of all time.
At 36.2 cm long this is a large, statement-size model made to be the centrepiece of a shelf, sideboard or desk. Press the hidden button and a soft, water-based vapour drifts out exactly where it should — the closest a display model gets to coming alive. The body is cast in metal, so at around 1.9 kg it has real weight in the hand, and the paint is laid on in smooth, even coats with crisp fine details.
