The Lotus Carlton super-saloon in deep green metallic, with a rear boot spoiler, silver five-spoke alloy wheels, subtle side skirts and a twin exhaust.
Developed with Lotus and powered by a twin-turbo straight-six, the Lotus Carlton was one of the fastest four-door saloons of the early 1990s — the ultimate British sleeper.
At 39.7 cm long this is a large, statement-size model made to be the centrepiece of a shelf, sideboard or desk. Press the hidden button and a soft, water-based vapour drifts out exactly where it should — the closest a display model gets to coming alive. The body is cast in metal, so at around 2.1 kg it has real weight in the hand, and the paint is laid on in smooth, even coats with crisp fine details.
