Description
The classic Type 2 bus in two-tone blue and white, with skylight windows along the roof edge, a long row of side windows, a raised white roof panel, white bumpers, whitewall tyres and twin exhaust tips under the rear.
Since the 1950s the Type 2 has carried surfers, families and festival-goers; its friendly, rounded shape is a road-trip icon recognised all over the world.
At 41.5 cm long this is a large, statement-size model made to be the centrepiece of a shelf, sideboard or desk. Press the hidden button and a soft, water-based vapour drifts out exactly where it should — the closest a display model gets to coming alive. The body is cast in metal, so at around 2.4 kg it has real weight in the hand, and the paint is laid on in smooth, even coats with crisp fine details.
Highlights
- Large 41.5 cm display size — a real centrepiece, not a desk trinket
- Solid die-cast metal body with a deep, even paint finish
- Smoke from the twin exhaust tips under the rear
- Red LED rear lights
- Opening side doors and rear engine lid; whitewall tyres
- Rechargeable via USB-C — no button cells to replace
- Smoke fluid included, refill with the dropper in seconds
